Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a large vehicle alight on the A2 between Shorne and Cobham.
Five fire engines, a bulk water carrier and a height vehicle attended. Crews, wearing breathing apparatus, used hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
There are no reported injuries and the cause is not yet known.
