Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a car fire on the A249 near Stockbury, Sittingbourne.
Two fire engines attended, and crews, wearing breathing apparatus used a hose-reel jet to extinguish the fire.
Three people were passed into the care of SECAmb, and the cause is not yet known.
