People living or travelling near Common Creek Wharf in Rochester are no longer being advised to close windows and doors due to smoke coming from a van alight in the area.

One fire engine attended, and crews wearing breathing apparatus used a hose-reel jet to extinguish the fire.

There are no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is not yet known.
