Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a vehicle fire on the M2 between junction 2 and 3, near Strood.
Two fire engines attended, and crews wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using hose reel jets.
Kent Police and National Highways was also in attendance.
No injuries were reported.
