Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a van alight on the M26 London-bound, near Junction 2A for Tonbridge.
Two fire engines attended, and crews wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames.
No injuries have been reported.
People are advised to check for traffic updates before travelling towards the affected area.
