Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a flat Bybrook Road in Kennington, near Ashford, to reports of a cooker alight. Two fire engines attended and crews wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to put the fire out. A woman suffering the effects of smoke inhalation was checked over by SECAmb paramedics.
