Ashford

Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to Faversham Road in Kennington, near Ashford, to reports of a garage well alight. Three fire engines were sent to the scene and crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets, a main jet, and water from a hydrant to put the fire out. Firefighters sprayed foam onto nearby buildings to protect them from the fire, and managed to prevent the blaze spreading. One person who experienced the effects of smoke inhalation was given oxygen therapy by crews, before being handed into the care of SECAmb paramedics.
