Update: 16.30, 14 October SGN engineers have now finished repair work at the scene of a gas leak in Ratling Road, Aylesham, near Canterbury. The earlier advice to close windows and doors has now been lifted. Thank you for your patience. ........................Update: 10.50am, 12 October Following a gas leak in Ratling Road, Aylesham, near Canterbury, people who live and work in the local area are still advised to keep their windows and doors closed as a precaution, while repair work is carried out. People in the local area, including those who live or work nearby in Nonnington, are also asked not to light any bonfires or fireworks. The advice is expected to stay in place until Wednesday (14 October). Crews have now left the incident and SGN engineers remain on-site. ........................ Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a gas leak on Ratling Road, Aylesham. Crews offered assistance to SGN. SGN will be remaining in attendance until the leak is repaired Crews are continuing to ask that residents of Aylesham and Nonnington continue to keep windows and doors closed and not to light any bonfires or fireworks until the leak is repaired.
