Update at 1310: 

Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to to reports of a collision on the M20 between J11a and J12, near Folkestone. Three fire engines attended, as well as the technical rescue unit. Crews were joined at the scene by emergency services colleagues from SECAmb, Kent Police and the Kent, Surrey, Sussex Air Ambulance Service. 

One person has been airlifted to a London hospital with serious injuries.

A closure remains in place for enquiries at the scene being carried out by specialist officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit. Motorists are advised to avoid the area if at all possible, with the roads in and around Dover already very busy due to delays at the port and heavy traffic volumes. Kent Fire and Rescue Service is currently at the scene of a road collision between J11a and J12 on the M20.  Three fire engines have been sent to the incident. Officers from Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service are also in attendance. People are currently being advised to follow National Highways for road closure updates.
