Being a Senior Resilience Officer
Working within the Kent Resilience Team, based at KFRS HQ in Maidstone, you’ll be part of a nationally renowned multi-agency team delivering the strategic aims of the Kent and Medway Resilience Forum, supporting the partnership in delivery of local and national priorities.
You will be required to travel as part of this role therefore a driving licence is essential.
What you’ll do
- Work in a multi-agency team consisting of emergency services and local authorities from across Kent and Medway
- Work collaboratively with partners, other Local Resilience Forums and government departments to promote and develop resilience in the County
- Help develop and deliver risk assessment, plans and training and exercising to partners
What you’ll bring
- Good communication skills to liaise with and influence senior managers and customers across all agencies, internal and external order to deliver recommendations to support the delivery of an effective resilience programme
- An understanding of the Civil Contingencies legislation, integrated emergency planning and national resilience strategies
- Experience of working with in contingency planning or with emergency services, local authorities, Armed Forces or other resilience partners.
