Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Flooding near Sittingbourne
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service crews are dealing with flooding in Pett Road, Stockbury Valley, Sittingbourne. The road is flooded and there are several people stranded inside broken down vehicles. There are no reported injuries. Crews in water rescue gear are in attendance, and the road is set to be closed at the junction with the A249. 
 
Leanne McMahon, Group Manager for Community Safety said: "It's really important to take care when driving in these stormy conditions. Please avoid driving or walking through flood water, it could be deeper than you think."
