All firefighting operations have been completed and the fire is now out. Property has been left in the care of owner.
The road closures around Gaza Trading Estate have been lifted and road re-opened.

Firefighting has been scaled back, however crews are still finding deep seated hot spots of fire. A digger at the site is being used to help break up the debris to expose the pockets of fire and firefighters are using a main jet to extinguish them.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service's Technical Rescue team has been called in to fly the drone above the trading estate as part of the firefighting operations. For privacy queries contact us quoting reference 2701. Footage will establish remaining areas where the fire may still be burning underneath the debris.

7:00AM - Monday 27 May 2019
Firefighting continues at the site this morning, although operations were scaled back to four fire engines overnight. Crews worked hard to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading further than what is believed to be four buildings at the site. Crews are now treating hot spots of fire that are deep seated, turning over and damping down the remaining pockets. The cause of the fire isn't known but an investigation will take place later today. The warning for residents to close windows and doors has now been lifted.

Firefighting is ongoing and crews are working hard to contain the fire. All persons have been accounted for and there are no reported injuries.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service and crews from London Fire Brigade and Surrey Fire and Rescue Service are working together to tackle a large fire in a timber yard on Gaza Trading Estate in Hildenborough near Tonbridge. Residents living in the area are being asked to close windows and doors as a precaution due to the large plume of smoke cause by the blaze. Ten fire engines have been sent to the incident along with a height vehicle and bulk water carrier. Crews are using main jets to tackle the blaze which involves a range of buildings on the trading estate. More to follow.
