Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Building basement fire - Brompton
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a fire in the cellar of a building on the High Street, Brompton, Gillingham. Crews wearing breathing apparatus tackled the fire using main jets. Residents of two of the flats have been assisted by the Kent Fire and Rescue Service Rapid Response Team and British Red Cross as they will not be able to stay in the property today due to the damage caused.
