Garage fire in Herne Bay
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a garage fire on Mortimer Street in Herne Bay. Three fire engines were sent to the scene and crews wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet, a main jet, and a fog spike to extinguish the fire, which had spread to two single garages. No casualties were reported and the exact cause is not yet known.
