Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Man freed following car crash in Upchurch
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a road traffic collision involving two cars on Oak Lane in Upchurch. Three fire engines were in attendance and crews arrived to one male casualty trapped inside one of the vehicles. Crews used rescue equipment and cutting tools to remove the car roof and free the casualty, who was then passed into the care of SECAmb paramedics.
