Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Three vehicle crash on the A28
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a road traffic collision involving three cars on the A28 in Chartham near Canterbury. Two fire engines were in attendance and crews arrived to find a casualty trapped within one of the vehicles as a result of the crash. Firefighters used hydraulic rescue equipment to remove the car door and free the casualty, who was then passed into the care of SECAmb paramedics.
