Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Roof fire in Maidstone
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a domestic property fire on Blythe Road in Maidstone. Two fire engines were in attendance and crews arrived to a fire in the roof area of the building. Crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to extinguish the blaze, which is believed to have started accidentally due to an electrical fault. No casualties were reported.
