Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Fire in flat - Canterbury
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a fire in a flat in Tannery Square. Crews used breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet to tackle the blaze that was on the first floor of the four storey building. They also used a positive pressure ventilation fan to ventilate the property. Two females were safely evacuated from the flat, other properties in the development were also safely evacuated. The fire started in the fuse box.
