Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Canterbury restaurant fire

Firefighters were called to a fire at a fast food outlet in the High Street, Canterbury today.  The fire was in one of the fryer cabinets, but did not spread to the fryer itself. 
 
Crews used breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet to put out the fire.  They also used a thermalimagine camera to check that there had been no fire spread.
