Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Incident
Thanet Way road crash between sections 1 and 2 London-bound
Incident details
Fire crews used hydraulic rescue equipment to release a man who was trapped in a silver people carrier. It is believed the vehicle had rolled and was on its roof. The A299 London-bound was closed at section 1. 
 
The man was handed into the care of the ambulance service at 6.30am and crews left the scene just before 7am after making the scene safe.
