Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Car fire on M2, near Harbledown, Canterbury
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a car alight on the M2, near Harbledown, Canterbury. 
 
Two fire engines attended the incident on the London-bound carriageway and crews wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames. 
 
No casualties were reported. 
 
It’s believed the fire was caused by an electrical fault.
