Incident
Fire on boat - Queenborough
Incident details
Firefighters were called to reports of smoke and flames issuing from a boat moored at a wharf in Queenborough on the Isle of Sheppey.

Upon arrival, crews discovered a 6.7m (22 foot) pleasure fishing boat alight, and set about tackling the blaze using a main jet hose supplied by a light portable pump. Unfortunately, the vessel was 80% destroyed by the fire before the flames were put out.

One man has been treated by paramedics for the effects of breathing in smoke. The cause of the fire has not yet been established.
