Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Flat fire - Gillingham
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of smoke issuing from a flat on Victoria Street, Gillingham. Crews located the fire in a basement flat and used a breathing apparatus and hose reel jet to tackle the fire. This was followed by the use of a positive pressure ventilation fan to ventilate the property.
