Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Car on roof - Sheppey
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a road traffic crash on Shellness Road, Leysdown-on-sea.  On arrival crews were faced with a car, which had flipped onto its roof and was against the sea wall. Crews used hydraulic rescue equipment to remove a door of the vehicle in order to release one male who was trapped inside. Care of those involved in the crash was handed over to the ambulance service.
