Incidents

Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

The incidents shown on this page are just a sample of those which may be of interest to the public and media.

Strike update - 6.30am
Incident details
In addition to the house fire in Gravesend already detailed in an earlier update, firefighters have dealt overnight with the following incidents: a small chimney/fireplace overheating incident in Margate, reports of fence paneling alight in Rochester, a chimney fire in Faversham, electrical cables arcing after a tree fell down in Tonbridge, and a fire involving a tumble dryer in Staplehurst. 
 
There have been no reported injuries at any of these incidents and Kent Fire and Rescue Service thanks the public for heeding safety advice.
