Single car crash on A256 at Eastry
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a single car crash on the A256 at Eastry near Sandwich. Crews worked with other emergency services including SECAmb and Kent Police. Firefighters used rescue cutting gear to free the male driver from the vehicle. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Crews made the scene safe.

Witnesses sought to fatal collision on Eastry roundabout
An investigation has been launched after a man died following a single-vehicle collision on the A256 near Eastry. Kent Police was called at around midnight on Friday 16 August 2019 after a silver Ford Fiesta collided with a roundabout. The driver of the car, a man in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene and his next of kin has been informed. Witnesses or anyone with information about the incident should call the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 01622 798538 quoting reference HW/MW/86/19.
