Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Beach hut fire in Whitstable
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a beach hut alight off Marine Parade, in Tankerton, Whitstable. 
 
Two fire engines were sent to the scene and crews used a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames. The hut was completely destroyed by the blaze. 
 
No casualties were reported. 
 
It's believed the fire was started deliberately.
