Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Car fire in Swanley
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a car alight on the A2 London-bound, near Swanley. 
 
Two fire engines attended and crews wore breathing apparatus while using hose reel jets to extinguish the flames. 
 
No casualties were reported. 
 
After making the scene safe, crews left duty of care with the Highways Agency. 
 
The cause is believed to be accidental.
