Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Woman and child rescued from mud in Herne Bay
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of two people stuck in mud near Central Parade in Herne Bay. Two fire engines and a water safety unit attended, and a woman and a child were led to safety by crews. Kent Police and the Coastguard were also in attendance.
