Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Fire in bin chute of Arlington House - Margate
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a fire in the bin chute of Arlington House in All Saint's Avenue. Crews used breathing apparatus, the building's internal water distribution system and main jets to tackle the fire. The fire was located in the bin chute of the 18 storey building between floors 7 and 8, which caused smoke logging from floor 7 to 10. Cause is not yet known.
