Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

New Ash Green kitchen fire
Incident details
Fire crews were called to a fire in Bazes Shaw. On arrival they discovered the resident had accidentally left a frying pan in the top part of the oven. The handle had caught alight damaging the oven and kitchen units. Fortunately, the house had working smoke alarms which sounded, alerting the residents.   
 
Crews extinguished the small fire, ventilated the smoke from the property and gave fire safety advice to the occupants.
