Incident
Workshop fire in Lower Hardes
Incident details
Fire crews are still at the scene of a workshop fire in Hardres Court Road, Lower Hardres (south-west of Canterbury).

Firefighters have been tackling the blaze in the roof of the single storey building using compressed air foam, which uses considerably less water than normal, so minimises the environmental impacts of firefighting on local surroundings.  Cold cutting equipment was also used at the incident (a specialist piece of equipment able to cut its own access point to the fire using high pressure water and abrasive grit).

Crews are currently damping down and turning over.
