Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

House fire in Swanley

Attendance at this incident has now been scaled down to three fire engines, while crews continue to damp down and turn over remaining hotspots in the affected properties. 
 
Firefighters are tackling a fire in a terrace of houses in Conifer Way, Swanley. The fire, which is believed to have started at the rear of one of the houses, spread to the roof space and extension are of an adjoining property. Six fire engines and an aerial appliance are in attendance and fire crews wearing breathing apparatus are tackling the fire using two main jets, two fog spikes - special piercing tools - and water from two hydrants. There are no reported casualties and the cause is not yet known.
