Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Fire at electrical substation - Ashford
Incident details
Firefighters are working with Network Rail to deal with a fire at an electrical substation near Ashford International railway station in Ashford. 
 
One person has been injured and is being treated by paramedics, air ambulance doctors and the hazardous area response team from South East Coast Ambulance Service. 
 
Due to a smoke plume from the fire, residents in the Ashford town centre area are advised to keep doors and windows closed as a precaution.
