Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Incident
Horse rescued from River Beult near Maidstone
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a horse stuck in the River Beult near Water Lane in Headcorn, Maidstone. One fire engine, a water safety unit and an animal rescue unit attended. Crews wearing water safety suits placed straps around the horse, before using an animal rescue crane to lift it onto dry land. The horse did not appear to have any injuries and was handed into the care of its owner.
