Firefighting operations are now complete at the scene of a fire involving a large amount of rubbish at an industrial premises off Detling Hill, in Detling, Maidstone. 

No injuries have been reported, and the cause is not yet known. 

Update at 5.15am

The earlier advice for people living near the industrial park in Detling, Madistone, to close windows and doors, has been lifted.

Two fire engines and a bulk water carrier remain at the scene, and firefighters are making good progress.

People living in the area surrounding the industrial estate at Detling Aerodrome in Detling Hill, Maidstone, are advised to keep windows and doors closed due to smoke from a commercial waste fire.

Three fire engines and a bulk water carrier are at the scene.
