Update at 11pm:

Firefighting operations have now finished at the scene of crash between two vehicles on the A257 between Sandwich and Canterbury (near Ash).

Three fire engines attended and crews extricated a person from the vehicle using hydraulic rescue equipment.

One person was passed into the care of SECAmb paramedics.

Crews are advising people living or travelling near the A257 between Sandwich and Canterbury (near Ash) to avoid the area, following a crash involving two vehicles.

Three fire engines are in attendance and crews are working to help those involved and make the scene safe.
