Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a chimney fire on Shenley Road, Headcorn.
Two fire engines and a height vehicle attended, and crews used chimney fire equipment and hose reel jets to extinguish the flames before making sure the rest of the property was safe.
Following this incident, firefighters are reminding people to get their chimney swept regularly to reduce the risk of a fire. If you burn logs, you should have this done at least twice a year.
