Kent Fire and Rescue Service sends its condolences to the Royal Family following the sad news of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Flags at fire stations across Kent and Medway will be flown at half-mast as a mark of respect at this sorrowful time.

Ann Millington, Kent Fire and Rescue Service Chief Executive, said of the news: “Every one of us at Kent Fire and Rescue Service wishes to express our profound sense of loss.

“Her Majesty was the longest-lived and longest-reigning British monarch, she was the longest-serving female head of state in world history - we all have a shared history.

“Her Majesty was a constant and positive advocate of the fire and rescue sector and we want to recognise and honour that service.

“We offer our sincere condolences to the entire Royal Family.”
