Tell us what you think

Over the last two years we have consulted with the community around the risks local people face and our delivery plan. We have progressed since then and would now like you to tell us what you think about some important proposals relating to water rescue, and our rural plan.
You'll find our Community Risk Management Plan (CRMP) Update and our associated Rural plan below. Once you've had a look at them, please complete our survey and tell us what you think. Together we can help to make Kent and Medway a safer place.

Proposed change to Water Rescue and CRMP update
As part of our consultation, we’re proposing to move the Sheppey Water Safety Unit to Rochester and replacing the rigid boat at Strood with a Personal Watercraft, as we have seen a 235% increase in the number of incidents in the River Medway between Maidstone and Chatham.
Over the past year, we have made progress on our action plan.

Rural plan
We know it takes us longer to get to rural areas and more isolated communities than it does in urban areas. Our plan brings together work we do and what we will do in future to meet the needs and risks faced by communities in small towns and the countryside. Our Rural Plan sits alongside our CRMP and we would ask you to take a look at both these important documents and tell us what you think.
